Ameeta
Soni, Founder
Ameeta Soni is the founder of Aanza AutoID
Group. She previously founded Aanza, a provider of product lifecycle management software and
consulting services
Ameeta has extensive strategy and marketing
experience and has been instrumental in the success of many new technology ventures. Before starting Aanza, in her roles as VP of Product Marketing & VP of Marketing at ChannelWave
Software, she helped grow annual revenues from $400K to $10M in two years and attract $30M in venture capital. Previously, she was founder and President of Altek Consulting,
a management-consulting firm. She has held senior marketing positions at Computer Identics, The BOC Group, Genus and Varian
Associates.
At Computer Identics, a manufacturer of bar code scanning and data collection products, she implemented strategies for new product development
and vertical market penetration for rapid revenue growth and eventual company sale.
Ameeta was instrumental in growing the pharmaceutical market sales by 400% in one year by leveraging product capabilities
to ensure compliance with new FDA regulation.
Ameeta is Past Chair of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge. She has also served as the Program Planning Chair of its RFID Special Interest Group. Ameeta is charter
member of TiE-Boston and an overseer at the Museum of Science, Boston. Previously, she served on the boards of the Technology Capital Network, Massachusetts Association for the Blind and the Society of Professional Consultants. Ameeta is a frequent speaker/panelist on RFID, marketing, product development
and entrepreneurship issues. She has been published and quoted in several business and trade publications.
She earned her MBA from the University of Chicago, her MS from the University of Massachusetts
at Amherst and her BS (Honors) from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, India.

Joe Wilkas, VP AutoID Technology
Joe has extensive Auto-ID experience in diverse markets, having designed, developed, installed and supported
numerous bar code reading and control systems for automated manufacturing, automotive, distribution, electronics, pharmaceutical,
semiconductor, transportation, and package distribution. At Computer Identics, a pioneer of laser and pen-based bar code reading
products and systems, he held a number of engineering and technical marketing positions including VP , Engineering and Director, Product Marketing. He was Marketing Product
Manager for CSPI Vision Systems, a developer and manufacturer of high performance CCD-based camera readers for reading bar
codes and "database-in-a-code" 2D MaxiCode used by UPS and shippers in distribution facilities. As an electrical engineer
with specific training in RFID products and applications, Joe is knowledgeable about RF and computing technologies and their
application for Auto-ID of products and packages for manufacturing, inventory control, and distribution. Joe was also Program
Manager at LTX, a $250M semiconductor capital equipment manufacturer. His rich technical product development and implementation
experience includes phased development with gated reviews, internal and outsourced inter-disciplinary resource teams, as well
as business and technical integration of outsourced products. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
Tom Rayner, VP Business Services
Tom has extensive and diversified experience in the
Information Technology Industry, functioning as a Senior Project Manager and Business Analyst representing the interests
of the business community. He is a proven project leader with a record of successfully developing, maintaining and re-engineering
systems to include modern client server based technologies such as graphical user interfaces, data base servers, image processing,
telephony and laser printing. He has spent the majority of his career as a consultant with IBM Global Services and as an independent
consultant. He has developed mission critical software applications in many industries, including retail distribution (Stop
and Shop), utilities (Providence Gas, Verizon) and financial services (Putnam, John Hancock, Liberty Mutual).
At Stop and Shop, Tom was a Senior Business Analyst responsible
for developing the requirements and specifications for the Purchasing, Receiving, and Inventory Control sub-systems
for a Corporate Ordering, Replenishment, and Distribution System, which also included sub-systems for Store Ordering,
Warehouse Distribution, and Accounting. This effort standardized into one system the multiple systems and procedures used
by the Stop and Shop companies for grocery items, baked goods, meat packaging, pharmaceuticals, toys and soft good
items. As part of this effort, Tom analyzed the application of UPC codes for scanning items at receiving in the warehouse,
inventory control, store checkout, and store re-ordering. As an industry specialist with IBM, Tom also analyzed the
use of laser printers for generating barcodes, and developed and implemented production laser printing systems. He has a BS
in Mathematics from Boston College.
Adi Guzdar, Advisor
Adi was previously Senior Vice President
at Foster Miller, an independent technology development and implementation company, serving both the Commercial and Government
sectors. Over the span of his 38 years with Foster Miller, Adi was responsible for developing and managing the Company's business
in diverse markets including chemicals, food, medical, defense, energy and industrial industries. Adi has more than 25 years
of experience in managing the commercialization of technology from initial development to commercial product. He was responsible
for the creation of several spin-off companies at Foster Miller.
Adi is Charter Member of TiE-Boston. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from MIT and a Bachelor of Engineering in
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Bombay, India.
